Waiting can be really stressful. Studies have shown the people waiting for a doctor start to get stressed out and dissatisfied if they have to wait more than 30 minutes. there are no similar studies for jury duty but the waiting time in jury duty can be hours long so I strongly suspect a lot of prospective jurors get really stressed out in they're waiting situations. this website is being created to give people called for jury duty ideas for activities to do while waiting in the Jury Room to make their waiting somewhat less boring

In 2001 Judge Judith Kay chief Judge of NYS said many people compared jury duty to getting a root canal or tax audit . Perhaps if more thought is given to human factors in the jury duty environment,  the system be upgraded so that people actually had a smile on their face when summoned! This site is a attempt to get jurors  smiling. 

the New York juror website does not have a lot of information on boredom in the New York state court system link. what it does have shows that New York state has recognize children have a problem with boredom in the court system and have taken appropriate action for this in creating Court children's centers in New York state courts, such as the one pictured below
